The Church Needs the Host Armies of God

The Church needs the Host Armies of God. The Bible warns as the return of Christ approaches, the presence of evil will increase. Portions of society are now moving further away from ethical behavior as new government policies are implemented. There is legitimate concern for Christian’s as these new policies go against deeply held convictions.

Parents are concerned for their children’s safety as transgender policies are being implemented by some local governments. Pastor’s, in countries like Canada, are being jailed for holding church services and feeding the needy during covid. American cities are in turmoil as lawless people torch businesses. Innocent people are getting caught in the crossfire of riots with some being drug from their cars and shot to death in cold blood. These are dark times, but the Church has the authority to pushback against the  threats of darkness.

The Demonic Population Can Be Contained

The Church must continue to be the light of Jesus in the earth. The Bible says that evil will wax worse and worse, but the Bible also teaches that the Church has power over the demonic.

Christian’s can see society needs an intervention from lawlessness and injustice; and many Christian’s are already praying but can the Body of Christ be doing more? Are there additional resources available to the Church that can be used to accelerate answers to prayer? Is there something more that can be done to speed deliverance? Is there a better way to accomplish the will of God using more than traditional methods of prayer?

Traditional methods of prayer are still valuable for binding and loosing demonic spirits; but as the works of darkness intensify, the Body of Christ also needs to utilize additional supernatural resources. Working with the Host Armies of God is a powerful way to get results to prayer. It’s also a great way to diminish the power and influence of the demonic population.

The Hosts Armies and the Second Heaven

God has created an array of hosts’ that serve in different realms of the spirit. Each tribe has their own function. Some tribe’s are appointed to serve in Heaven where there is no lawlessness or spiritual conflicts. These hosts are known as Seraphim and Cherubim. There are also tribes appointed to serve on the earth. Christian’s know them as angels and host angels may serve as guardians or messengers. There are also tribe’s appointed to serve in the second heaven; which is the atmosphere located between Heaven and Earth. These tribe’s are the Host Armies of God and they war in the spirit realm where physical battles take place between the forces of God and the forces of Satan.

The Host Armies of God work with the people of God to destroy the evil works of darkness and establish victory in the realm of the spirit.

The Hosts Armies are Appointed to the Church

The Host Armies are the tribes appointed to work with the Church to tear down demonic strongholds that set the captives free. The Host Armies destroy principalities and powers and they tear down rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places so the agenda of God can be established in the earth (Ephesians 6:12).

Much like the commands received by commanders in an earthly military, the Host Armies receive their orders from the people of God through prayer and decrees. They are sent on missions and maneuvers as directed by the Spirit of the Lord when God’s people send them. They play a pivotal role in tearing down destructive forces that can keep people and earthly systems under bondage. God has commissioned them to work with His people to diminish and destroy demonic platforms. Demonic platforms are platforms that invite wickedness to establish a stronghold in the lives of people or in systems like government or education for example.

The Host Armies of God Acknowledged in the Bible

There are many examples in the Bible of God’s Host Armies assisting people needing deliverance from trouble. Jesus spoke of the hosts’ in the Garden of Gethsemane after Peter cut the ear of a slave to the high priest coming to arrest Jesus. When Peter drew his sword to defend Jesus, he was rebuked for inadvertently interfering with the road to the Cross. Jesus said to Peter,

“And behold, one of those who were with Jesus reached and drew his sword, and struck the slave of the high priest and cut off his ear. 52 Then Jesus *said to him, “Put your sword back into its place; for all those who take up the sword will perish by the sword. 53 Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels?” (Matthew 26:51-53, NASB).

In the Book of Daniel, the Archangel Michael explains the reason for the delay to Daniel’s request for assistance in prayer. Michael actually speaks with Daniel directly when he says to him,

“Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia” (Daniel 10:12-13, KJV).

In the Book of Judges, we read where Deborah and the tribes of Issachar joined forces with the Host Armies to subdue Sisera, a general for King Hazor:

They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera (Judges 5:20, KJV).

Utilizing the Host Armies of God

The Host Armies of God are meant to be utilized by every believer. They are provided to the Church to help subdue wickedness in high places and secure victory over the rulers of darkness. These valuable helpers can also tear down demonic forces attacking individual people, businesses, and even regions. As darkness is increasing, the Body of Christ needs to know how to enlist the help of the Host Armies of God.

The apostle Paul said, “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher” (Romans 10:14, ASV). Likewise, how will Christian’s know how to activate this valuable Army if the Church isn’t being taught to send them?

An Excellent Source of Power and Might

Understanding spiritual warfare should be part of every church’s curriculum. Spiritual warfare should receive the same attention as repentance from sin and receiving redemption through the Blood of Jesus Christ. These are critical times for the Body of Christ. The earth needs the Church to use every resource available from Heaven to defeat the works of darkness. Combined with prayer and decrees, the Host Armies of God are an excellent source of power and might for defeating the platforms of Satan.

This article strikes at the very heart of where we find ourselves today. As explained in 2 Timothy 3 we are standing on the precipice of the ultimate battle. Through God’s grace and mercy we will win.

    • Amen! I agree with you. We ARE right in the middle of everything Paul wrote to Timothy in his letter to the Church and we do WIN! We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us and we can defeat the plans of darkness with the help of God’s Host Armies. Pray with us for ‘laborers’–people who will teach others how to battle in the spirit. “The Lord is a man of war. The LORD is His name” (Exodus 15:3, ESV). Thank you for your comments.
