"It has always amazed me how just minutes spent with God can miraculously empower. When I focus on Him, I feel loved. When I focus on Him, I feel stronger. When I focus on Him, my frustrations and worries cannot withstand the joy He has to fulfill me."

Leah Hadder

I relished the moment I sat under the canopied tree and heard the birds singing.

I felt the sun beaming down upon my arms and looked up into the bright, blue sky.

Peace.

I had not felt at peace for so long. I realized I craved it.

Silence.

I had become so busy with life’s unending wants, obligations, and distracting noises, that I had forgotten what it was like just to be still, for a moment, a minute… a second.

I stopped.

I put my phone down and delighted in the opportunity to reflect.

To reflect on His creations- sunshine, fresh air, birds, trees, blowing wind.

To reflect on His love for me-His patience, His goodness, His blessings.

To reflect on contentment, the worry slowly ceasing from me, and the insecurity evaporating from my thoughts and emotions.

When was the last time you just stopped?

Stopped texting. Stopped scrolling. Stopped roaming from task to task and chore to chore.

Stopped endlessly moving. Stopped trying to please everyone.

To spend time with God…just God?

Life can be so overwhelming.

If you are like me, it seems as if nothing is ever finished. The “wants” of the world keep appearing on a never-ending to-do list.

It felt so relieving to stop.

I took a deep breath and exhaled.

I shifted my focus away from my endless life duties to my Creator.

It is so easy to become discouraged and tired from the demands.

I have noticed that the less time I spend with God, the weaker I become.

I feel more helpless, and the struggles seem to multiply.

It has always amazed me how just minutes spent with God can miraculously empower.

When I focus on Him, I feel loved.

When I focus on Him, I feel stronger.

When I focus on Him, my frustrations and worries cannot withstand the joy He has to fulfill me.

I have heard many say, “God is the greatest healer,” and He is, as well as the best encourager and supporter.

Most of all, He ultimately adores His beloved.

Psalm 91: 14 AMP tell us, “Because he set his love on Me, therefore I will save him;
I will set him [securely] on high, because he knows My name [he confidently trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never abandon him, no, never].”

Just stop-

To talk, laugh, and share your frustrations with Him.

His love for you is greater than you could ever imagine.

Know that even in the hard seasons of life, you are never abandoned.

He is continually looking over you, guiding and protecting you.

Cherish the time He has given.

“Soak” in His goodness and light.

Let Him renew you in the quiet.

I hope your faith is lifted, and after moments spent with the Father, your face will be absent of restlessness and restored with radiance (Exodus 34:29).

I love this thought Ms. Leah and it is so true! Jesus is simple and He is a our strength! After spending a week last week ‘decompressing’, teaching no classes, sleeping, and leaving out ‘everything extra’, everything feels like I hit the ‘refresh button.’ We do not always need to be, nor should be ‘busy.’ Many times, it seems God moves the most when we take a step back.
